Construit dans un souci de confort et d'utilité, le design minimaliste offre des performances exceptionnelles sous des combinaisons étanches en néoprène plus ajustées. Dans un système de couches, l'Arctic convient également pour une utilisation sous des combinaisons à membrane et trilaminées.

Utilisant une combinaison de tissus à isolation rapide et hautement isolants, l'Arctic crée un microclimat autour du plongeur, gardant le corps au sec et au chaud. Une polaire intérieure haute densité offre une isolation supérieure, avec un maximum de confort et d'évacuation de l'humidité, tandis que la couche extérieure, qui a une finition hydrofuge, assure un ajustement parfait.

L'Arctique nécessite moins de loft pour fonctionner en raison d'une gestion plus efficace de l'air qui est retenu dans les fibres de la combinaison. Au lieu de maximiser l'épaisseur de la couche d'air près de la peau, l'Arctic minimise le mouvement de l'air à l'intérieur, réduisant le taux de refroidissement sans aucun risque de piéger l'air et d'empêcher sa sortie de la soupape de décharge.

L'Arctique conserve un degré significatif de ses performances thermiques lorsqu'il est mouillé, de sorte que les porteurs ont trouvé possible d'effectuer des plongées dans un confort relatif même après les défaillances les plus fondamentales de la combinaison étanche. Dans certains cas, les plongeurs n'ont remarqué une fuite dans un joint de cou ou de poignet qu'après la plongée, telle est la performance du quatrième élément Arctic.

Soutenu par des années d'essais sur le terrain par la marine norvégienne, l'équipe de plongée British Antarctic Survey, les marines françaises et la marine danoise, l'Arctique a été conçu à l'aide de tissus de haute technologie et a été testé dans des conditions de plongée réelles de l'Arctique à l'Antarctique.

The Arctic's two layers of high insulation and low bulk fabric ensure exceptional levels of thermal protection.

Constructed with comfort and utility in mind, the minimalist design provides outstanding performance under closer-fitting neoprene drysuits. In a layering system, the Arctic is also suited for use underneath membrane and trilaminate suits.

Using a combination of fastwicking, high insulation fabrics, the Arctic creates a micro-climate around the diver, keeping the body dry and warm. A high density inner fleece provides superior insulation, with maximum comfort and wicking, whilst the outer layer, which has a water-repellent finish, ensures a snug fit.

The Arctic requires less loft to perform due to more effective management of air which is held in the fibres of the suit. Instead of maximising the thickness of the layer of air near the skin, the Arctic minimises the movement of air within, reducing the rate of cooling without any risk of trapping the air and preventing its release from the dump valve.

The Arctic retains a significant degree of its thermal performance when wet, such that wearers have found it possible to complete dives in relative comfort after even the most fundamental drysuit failures. In some cases, divers have not noticed a leak in a neck or wrist seal until after the dive, such is the performance of the fourth element Arctic.

Backed by years of field testing by the Norwegian Navy, the British Antarctic Survey Dive Team, the French Marines and the Danish Navy, the Arctic was designed using high technology fabrics and has been tested in real diving conditions from the Arctic to the Antarctic.

The Arctic drysuit undersuit is complemented by the Arctic socks, which completes the thermal protection system, offering low bulk thermal protection to the extremities. The two layer construction is warm and comfortable, and the inner liner can be pulled out from the outer liner to speed drying times.
